2025/2/19 The Surprising Power of the Song of the Lord

Ron Sawka Ministries

“After this I will return and will rebuild the tabernacle of David, which has fallen down; I will rebuild its ruins, and I will set it up; so that the rest of mankind may seek the Lord, even all the Gentiles who are called by My name, says the Lord who does all these things” (Acts 15:16–17).

“Then Hezekiah commanded them to offer the burnt offering on the altar. And when the burnt offering began, the song of the Lord also began, with the trumpets and with the instruments of David king of Israel” (2 Chron 29:27).

“So the number of them, with their brethren who were instructed in the songs of the Lord, all who were skillful, was two hundred and eighty-eight” (1 Chron 25:7).

“For the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth” (John 4:23–24).

The Surprising Power of the Song of the Lord

Thank you for being part of Online Apostolic Center-MPP. The apostolic center gains the open heaven, which, in turn, opens doors and brings divine connections and favor on each individual and their oikos. We have been in existence as an apostolic center (APC) since Nov 5, 2024. One of the keys was when the Lord showed us to covenant together. (This is completely informal—no sign-ups or anything—and hopefully models how each one needs to commit/covenant with their own group, church, or organization.)

Many are connected to me/us in one way or another. I invite you to broaden your vision and know that you—by faith—can consider yourselves as part of this APC. An APC’s purpose is to gain an “open heaven,” resulting in doors opening and opportunities and miracles happening for individual believers in their oikos. We see this in Acts 2–7. The APC (corporate gathering with the apostles) in Jerusalem resulted in an explosion of joy and evangelism through new believers. People were being saved daily. We read, “So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved” (Acts 2:46–47).

Let me repeat—it’s the APC (corporate gathering or whole body with the apostles) that gains an open heaven. Miracles and wondrous works of God then happen easily through the believers as they live their daily lives. So, please consider yourself as a connected part, and watch and see what the Lord may do.

How Restoring the Song of the Lord Brought Revival

A few weeks ago, the Lord drew my attention to King Hezekiah. He inherited a bad situation. His father, King Ahaz, was very ungodly, and under his reign unfaithfulness to God accelerated throughout Judah. The nation was poor and broken. The very first thing Hezekiah did was to restore worship. He had the temple cleaned, and when preparations were complete, he called the leaders and they were all together watching when the sacrifices began. We read, “And when the burnt offering began, the song of the Lord also began, with the trumpets and with the instruments of David king of Israel” (2 Chron. 29:27, emphasis added).

As we read further, we see that a great revival began and the whole nation (and beyond) was restored. Judah became prosperous, and Hezekiah and the kingdom became very powerful. I believe the Lord is speaking two important things to us:

1. God wants to bring restoration to us and through us, as happened by and for King Hezekiah.

2. A key will be singing the song of the Lord.

We know David often sang the song of the Lord (singing prophetically). He knew this was so important that every hour he had twelve different singers come into the tabernacle and sing prophetically. We don’t know if this prophetic singing stopped once the ark of the covenant was moved into Solomon’s temple. But I do know that the song of the Lord is mentioned in the Bible in connection with David, and then not again until this time under Hezekiah. It seemed to have completely disappeared. Under Hezekiah, it was restored. Perhaps Hezekiah only intended to restore sacrifices, but we read clearly that the song of the Lord began immediately as the sacrifices began. It seems as if it was restored and the results were amazing—revival and restoration of the nation.

The Lord wants amazing things for each one of us. I believe He will use our singing the song of the Lord to bring them about. Several points are as follows:

1. Spend some time each day singing prophetically to the Lord. Just open your mouth and begin to sing freely. Don’t worry about words or the tune; He will give them. Psalm 81:10 states, “Open your mouth wide and I will fill it.” Alternately, if you play a musical instrument, then periodically just play freely (trusting the Holy Spirit to guide you prophetically). Psalm 150 lists several instruments that were thus used.

2. God wants each of us to engage in this free and unfettered worship from our spirit. It’s why Jesus said, “For the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth” (John 4:23–24). Singing the song of the Lord will result in us being brought closer to His truth and will strengthen our spirit.

3. Singing the song of the Lord daily—individually—is part of New Testament worship and results in great infilling of the Holy Spirit. Ephesians 5:18–19 exhorts, “But be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord.”

4. God will give us revelation while we are singing prophetically. Psalm 49:4 reads, “I will incline my ear to a proverb; I will disclose my dark saying on the harp.”

5. Singing the song of the Lord is so powerful because the Lord is there with you. The Holy Spirit gives the words, but it’s God’s presence there that brings healing, deliverance, and restoration. He will cause the spheres He has assigned to you to prosper. You yourself will be blessed and will become mighty in the Lord, just as happened to Hezekiah.

Prayer Corner-Things for all of us to pray for

  1. As you stand in faith and prayer, keep asking the Lord to give understanding to all—that they realize they aren’t alone or in an isolated group. No, by faith they can be part of this apostolic center. They can know there is an open heaven over their lives, and thus open doors, divine connections, and favor.

  2. February 18–24, Prophetic Activation for CTF Pakistan. You, the Online APC, bring an open heaven for great impact. Great blessing flows back to all you who are praying.

  3. Pray for all those connected—that they will launch into and sing the song of the Lord daily.

Thanks for your praying,

Ron and Teddy

Time to Shout out the Goodness of God

Shouting out and forcefully declaring the goodness of God is very important this month. Why?

1. We are declaring an eternal truth that God is good, especially to those who believe and walk with Him. Declaring—even shouting it out at times—will help drive out negative thoughts and feelings that many of us may have been carrying for years.

2. It helps to align us with correct thinking rather than “foolish thinking” (e.g., “God doesn’t care,” or “God isn’t interested in me or my problem”). Note Romans 1:21, which points out that “although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened” (emphasis added).

3. So instead of our thoughts/hearts being futile/darkened, we will focus our minds on Him in faith and in daily expectation.

4. However, we must remember to link each month with the year, and this year, 5785, is a “hei” year. God wants us to know His breath is upon us. Because of His breath, promises come to pass, and prophecies begin to be fulfilled. In fact, our declaration in faith increases His “breath” upon us.

So declare His goodness. Shout out that you are satisfied, especially when “troubles” may rise up against you.
