“So Jesus said to them again, ‘Peace to you! As the Father has sent Me, I also send you.’ And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and said to them, ‘Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained’” (John 20:21–23).
“No longer shall your name be called Abram, but your name shall be Abraham; for I have made you a father of many nations. I will make you exceedingly fruitful” (Gen. 17:5–6).
Jesus Breathed the Holy Spirit on Them
MPP Online Apostolic Center–Week 2
Monday, November 11, was the second weekly meeting of the new-format MPP. I found that God has transformed us into an “online apostolic center.” Most of you know we were led to stop the daily MPP webcast, and all I knew is that the Lord said He would do something new and that it would be larger and more effective. I didn’t quite understand it, but in obedience to the prophetic words the Lord gave us, and in faith, we stepped out and made the change. Actually, some prophetic words about the shift have been very helpful, and already I can see fulfillment of some of them. One word said, “I feel three languages: Chinese and two other languages in the translation rooms besides Japanese and English.” This has already happened. From this week, translation rooms for Russian and Korean are operating.

In addition to watching on YouTube, people can join us live on Zoom and may enter a translation room for Chinese, Russian, or Korean. Each week’s meeting will later be posted on YouTube in English-Japanese, Chinese, Russian, and Korean.

Another prophecy said, “‘Now I am sending new electricity—new power,’ says the Lord … and it will be spread to all corners. … I send you a device that will change and transform the current that has been flowing.” It took me awhile to understand this, but once we started the new format, I quickly realized the Lord had already changed us into an Apostolic Center (APC). That is the new “device.” The anointing and intent drastically shifted. Whereas the daily MPP was about ministering to individuals and helping them, the anointing and power working through the APC empowers and raises up people so they can minister—becoming laborers in the harvest fields of the Lord.
Jesus breathed the Holy Spirit on them to send them
During this week’s meeting, we were led to John 20:21–23. On the evening of the day He was resurrected, Jesus appeared to the Eleven for the first time. He spoke peace to them and said, “As the Father has sent Me, I also send you.” He then “breathed on them, and said to them, ‘Receive the Holy Spirit.’” Why was this “breathing on them” so important? This was not the same thing as the Holy Spirit being poured out on the day of Pentecost. That was the baptism of the Holy Spirit, an outpouring of dunamis power and gifting. But this breathing on them was different. It was a launching of them into their calling and what their lives were really about. Jesus had told them He would make them fishers of men and that their prayer and faith would likewise result in many others becoming laborers in the harvest. Until then, they only knew the promises as words. But from that point on, it was becoming reality.
A similar thing occurred to Abram and Sarai. They too had a promise of a son, and in their twenty-fourth year of waiting God came and put His “breath” upon them (see Genesis 17). The “ha” in the new name Abraham and the “ah” in the new name Sarah are the Hebrew letter/number “hei,” which means “breath of God.” He told them not only would they conceive but that they’d also be exceedingly fruitful, and a year later Isaac was born. You could say that God’s breath upon them shifted His covenant with them from being words of a promise to living reality and fulfillment. This is what they had been waiting and longing for.
Jesus repeated this with the Eleven. He breathed on them. All of His promises to them were shifting (in their experience) from being words to living reality. They were now being sent, just as the Father had sent them. It’s exactly the same for us. All of us, in one measure or another, long to be sent—long to be launched into doing/being all that God has for us. It’s this breath of God on us now, the Holy Spirit, that launches us into this. I am discovering that this is one of the chief dynamics of Apostolic Centers.
Blessings for the Hebrew Month of Cheshvan
Cheshvan 5785—The Eighth Hebrew Month
Nov. 2–Dec. 1, 2024
The number eight always signifies new beginnings, and that is exactly what we are entering into, especially regarding Morning Prophetic Prayer (MPP). What began as a two-week project actually lasted for twelve years. The Lord led us to stop it, saying we completed what He gave us to do. We are now going to call it Apostolic MPP, because God wants us to be like an apostolic center. The apostolic anointing will arise, and the many who have been fed and helped by MPP will now find themselves as joyful laborers in the Lord’s harvest fields.
This would never have happened unless I had received and obeyed the prophetic word to stop. As soon as I did, new revelation as to what to do began to flow.
The lesson for all of us? Look for the new thing. Also, don’t be surprised if the Lord prunes you and you have to stop or discard something. The result will be much more fruit. But you have to trust Him.
