Three Results of Praising Three Times Daily
We are in the second week of a two-week assignment from the Lord to praise Him three times daily. This word was released during MPP, and the two-week period goes until August 13, when the three weeks of “dire straits” (see the section below on Av) comes to an end.
As I have been praising three times a day—sometimes for five minutes; sometimes ten minutes or longer—I have noticed three results that I would like to share with you:
1. God immediately begins to activate promises, declarations, and prayers on my behalf. Much of my praising consists of just singing the psalms, which contain David’s declarations and petitions. It surprised me when I realized as I was singing those psalms, God was actually working those things in my life. I then realized it was according to a truth many of us learned years ago. Psalm 22:3, states, “But You are holy, enthroned in the praises of Israel.” In other words, as soon as I begin to praise, God Himself is there, and His rule, His righteousness, His deliverance, and His healing begin to be activated in my life. Also see Psalm 61:8, 41:12, and 42:5.
2. My enemy is too strong for me, but not for God. “He delivered me from my strong enemy, from those who hated me; for they were too strong for me” (2 Sam. 22:18). David wrote this near the end of his life. Many times he had faced impossible situations, but the Lord delivered him from them all. He will do the same for us! Amen!
We won’t just win a skirmish or two, but God will enable us to have complete victory. “I have pursued my enemies and destroyed them; neither did I turn back again till they were destroyed. … So that they could not rise” (2 Sam. 22:38–39). There are many different kinds of enemies we may be dealing with: work or business, human relations, family problems, sicknesses, or personal issues. It doesn’t matter what kind of problem—God will give you victory, and it’s much easier than we think. “Therefore the Lord has recompensed me according to my righteousness, according to my cleanness in His eyes” (2 Sam. 22:25). We are declared righteous because of our faith in Jesus. God sees us as righteous and clean, and recompenses us.
3. The power of network and alignment. No, you aren’t alone in all of this. Even though it may be informal and “unstructured,” please choose to have the following mindset: “I am part of the army. As all the others are praying/believing, it is being multiplied for me. The effect is many times stronger than if it were just me by myself.” I think of MPP listeners as a united body and army. Because I am an Apostolic Ambassador for Catch the Fire, all of that anointing and faith also works for breakthrough and blessing for each of you. So, even though it is informal, please see yourself as being aligned.
Results are tremendously multiplied by connections. David defeated Goliath in a one-to-one battle. Years later, we read that each of Goliath’s sons and brothers were destroyed as well, this time by others in David’s army (see 2 Sam. 21:15–22). You aren’t alone—be sure to make that shift in your thinking. You are part of a mighty army that will help bring the breakthrough and victory you need.

A Time of Victory and a Time of Birthing
Av—The Fifth Month of the Hebrew Year 5784
August 5–September 3, 2024
We’re in the middle of a three-week period on the Hebrew calendar known as the “Dire Straits,” Tammuz 17–Av 9 (July 23–August 13). This may seem daunting, but should actually be a time of victory. One way we know this is because God’s sign to us from the heavens is the constellation of the Lion.
He wants us to know that the death and resurrection of Jesus, the Lion of Judah, broke every curse and the power of sin. It was Tammuz 17 when Moses descended from the mount of God to find the people had foolishly abandoned their covenant with God and indulged in idolatry—that which pleased them. But we need to know the Lord is roaring over us and has already won the victory over sin and every foolish thing that would draw/entice you away from Him. Expect victory!
Also, expect God to birth new and wonderful things for you. Point 6 listed in the blessings of the month of Av is about the womb and that the struggles of this month can be like birth pangs. Every mother knows the pain of birth pangs but these are soon forgotten for the joy of the new birth. God wants something new birthed in our lives. Rejoice!
