2024/6/5 How We Can Multiply

Ron Sawka Ministries

June 5, 2024; Iyar 28, 5784

“And the Feast of Harvest, the firstfruits of your labors which you have sown in the field” (Exod. 23:16).

“But now Christ is risen from the dead, and has become the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep” (1 Cor. 15:20).

“For if the firstfruit is holy, the lump is also holy; and if the root is holy, so are the branches” (Rom. 11:16).

How We Can Multiply

We are soon entering the third Hebrew month, Sivan, which contains Pentecost, or the Feast of Weeks, or the Feast of Firstfruits of the Harvest (see Lev. 23:16). The Lord drew my attention to the word firstfruits and the power of that principle. Below in the introduction to Sivan, you will see the explanation I wrote.

But I wish to add a couple more thoughts. The Lord wants to bless us and multiply within us and through us. He made this possible for us the instant He rose from the dead. All that happened for Him and is in Him can happen for us and is in us.

Paul prayed that “the eyes of our understanding being enlightened” and that we would know “the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe” (Eph. 1:18–19).

What an amazing principle taught all through the New Testament. May this day, and every day from now on be one that each of us know “His working which works in me mightily” (Col. 1:29). Everything Jesus did resulted in blessing and multiplication of others. He wants us to have this same multiplication in our lives.

Introduction to Sivan—A Month of Much Increase

Sivan: The Third Hebrew Month, June 7–July 6

One of the great highlights of this month is Pentecost or the Feast of Weeks (Pentecost is seven weeks after Passover). In Exodus 23:16, Pentecost is also referred to as “the Feast of Harvest, the firstfruits of your labors which you have sown in the field.” The concept of firstfruits is exceedingly powerful because if the first fruits are dedicated to and blessed by God, then the entire remaining (main) amount will also be blessed. As are the first fruits, so will be the remainder. Paul said, “For if the firstfruit is holy, the lump is also holy; and if the root is holy, so are the branches” (Rom. 11:16). You could say firstfruits is a principle of multiplication. Jesus is the firstfruit of resurrection (see 1 Cor. 15:20). Just as He is holy, dedicated to God, and resurrected, so too is each subsequent believer in Him. Because of Him, we too are holy, dedicated to God, and have resurrection life. In other words, Jesus’s life is multiplied. He is the firstfruit or root. We millions of believers are the lump or branches.

Therefore, since Pentecost is a celebration of firstfruits and this firstfruits principle of multiplication, then we must expect multiplication. Multiplication means massive increase. Expect increase in the following areas:

1. All harvest until now, consider it just first fruits. God wants to multiply it, so expect great increase in our personal lives, in our cities, and in our nations

2. Laborers for harvest—In Luke 10:2, Jesus said to pray and ask the Lord for laborers (which we already are). Let’s expect a massive increase in the numbers of harvest laborers in our cities and nations, just like us and even better.

3. Holy Spirit—We already are baptized in and filled by Him, so expect much, much more of His filling, manifestation, and demonstration in and through your life.

4. Firstfruit of finances—Honor Him this Pentecost with the “firstfruits of all your increase” (Prov. 3:9) of your finances. He wants our finances to multiply so you will lack nothing as you move ahead in this time of great harvest.

Praying for One Nation Every Day (from now until Passover next year)

Recently, I shared about an amazing prayer strategy from Apostle Karen Dey (New Zealand/Sri Lanka). I wrote:

“She saw hosts of angels—some were worshiping and some blowing trumpets; others were warring angels. Then she was impressed by the Lord to ask people to get a world map and to pray each day for a different nation. From this year’s Passover until next year’s Passover—365 days of praying for the nations!”

I urge everyone to do this. Your prayers will turn desolate places into “camps of God.” Please refer to the update from May 8.

Apostles and Apostolic Anointing is a book I wrote a few years ago. God wants apostles to arise and take their proper places so all believers can understand, receive, and move in this anointing. It’s available in English, Japanese, and Mandarin.

A Kindle version in English is available on Amazon.
