“In the first year of his reign I, Daniel, understood by the books the number of the years specified by the word of the Lord through Jeremiah the prophet, that He would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem. Then I set my face toward the Lord God to make request by prayer and supplications, with fasting, sackcloth, and ashes” (Dan. 9:2–3).

“Then he said to me, ‘Do not fear, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart to understand, and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard; and I have come because of your words’” (Dan. 10:12).

“This charge I commit to you, son Timothy, according to the prophecies previously made concerning you, that by them you may wage the good warfare” (1 Tim. 1:18).

It is clear to most of us that God’s church, His ekklesia, has entered into the end-time harvest. With that will come a level of healing and miracles like we’ve never seen before, and it will be largely through ordinary believers. We know this from scriptures and from what prophets and leaders around the world have been saying.

What should our response be? I think many of us will be led to special times of seeking the Lord through prayer and fasting. This is what we see in Daniel chapter 9. Daniel knew from studying the scriptures that Israel’s captivity was to be seventy years and that the end of that was fast approaching. What did he do? He was immediately led to fast and pray. He sought the Lord.

Daniel probably knew the Israelites didn’t have enough understanding or awareness. Daniel sought the Lord with prayer and fasting because he didn’t want there to be any delays because of unprepared hearts or for any other reason. He desperately wanted to see the end of the captivity come to pass.

Isn’t this the same for us now standing on the verge of the end-time harvest and God’s promised outbreak of miracles, healings, and signs and wonders? This has been spoken about fully in the scriptures. Maybe some believers don’t properly understand this and aren’t ready. Regardless, we must pray that there will be no reason for delay and that we will see great harvest all around us.

A few thoughts are as follows:

1. The Lord doesn’t want delay. Daniel repented on behalf of his nation for not believing and walking with God. He declared God’s judgement to be righteous, but pled for mercy, stating, “O Lord, listen and act! Do not delay for Your own sake” (Dan. 9:19). Likewise, we repent for our shortcomings and for the shortcomings of the church. We ask the Lord to listen and act and to not delay for His name’s sake.

2. Quick response. While Daniel was “speaking, praying, and confessing my sin … yes, while I was speaking in prayer” (9:20–21), he had an angelic visitation. Gabriel had been “caused to fly swiftly” (9:21) to reach him. Daniel was further told, “At the beginning of your supplications, the command went out” (9:23). There is no question that God wants there to be quick response to our seeking Him.

3. More revelation. Daniel was burdened about the seventy-years’ captivity coming to an end. That was his focus. But what God showed him was far, far beyond that. He actually got revelation about the very end times. The same principle applies to us. As we seek the Lord so there will be no delay of end-time harvest and the release of healing and miracles, we should expect that He will show us much, much more.

4. Our prayers are precious; they will be heard. The story of Daniel is so moving. He set himself to fast and pray for understanding concerning another vision. After three weeks, the angel Gabriel came to him and said, “From the first day that you set your heart to understand, to humble yourself before God, your words were heard” (10:12). Pay special attention to the next phrase: “I have come because of your words” (10:12). I believe the Lord definitely is calling us to set aside times for prayer and fasting. He wants great, great harvest. He wants us to call to Him. He will come because of our words.

Let the Lord lead you. Don’t be surprised if you are led to fast and pray. There will be great results.

And please do pray (and consider fasting) for our healing activation meeting described below:

One-day seminar to activate the gift of healing

CTF Sano, Saturday, June 17

Seminar: 10:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.

Healing service: 5:30–

Just as we learned to hear the voice of the Lord and prophesy by activation, so can we heal the sick and move in miracles.

We urge you to attend in person, but you can also watch online. We are also urging attendees to bring family or friends who need healing so they can be touched by the Lord and healed. Rather than spending the majority of our time explaining, we want to focus on the actual ministry of healing the sick. We will explain and then will demonstrate and activate.

Sessions are designed so that those who need healing can receive ministry right away and then return home as soon as they wish.

Thanks for praying,

Ron and Teddy

Shining by Declaring

Tammuz—The Fourth Hebrew Month of 5783

June 20–July 18, 2023

Let’s not be like King Saul. He experienced incredible change when he was anointed by Samuel the prophet. Saul began to prophesy—so much that people wondered if he too had become a prophet. However, he refused to share this with his family. He kept his mouth shut about how God anointed him and about how he had learned to prophesy. So instead of being confirmed and growing in confidence in the Lord, he was hindered by timidity and uncertainty. Let’s not do that. Let’s shine by boasting in the Lord and in what He has done and is doing in our lives.
