“Then the Lord came down in the cloud, and spoke to him, and took of the Spirit that was upon him, and placed the same upon the seventy elders; and it happened, when the Spirit rested upon them, that they prophesied, although they never did so again” (Num. 11:25).

“Then Moses said to him, ‘Are you zealous for my sake? Oh, that all the Lord’s people were prophets and that the Lord would put His Spirit upon them!’”(Num. 11:29).

The New Anointing Is Here!

We have entered a time of new and powerful anointing. I feel it is a culmination of what has been happening since Passover 2020. I feel the past two years of Corona/Covid were a time of coronation for the church. Part of the coronation process is new anointing. This new anointing is necessary to gather in the harvest. God is pouring out an anointing like never before, and the whole world is in an unprecedented season of harvest. And this will only increase.

The shakings of Covid, the shakings in society, the shakings in politics, and the shakings due to the war in Ukraine are all part of the Lord shaking the heavens and earth (Hag. 2:6). Demonic forces are losing their grip, and people’s mindsets are rapidly shifting. They wonder, “Is there a God in charge of the world? If so, I’d better get to know Him.”

The time of “preparation” is over. God’s ekklesia is rising up and He is anointing each one. We need this new anointing to be part of bringing in the harvest. Personally, I experienced this new anointing while I was in Egypt last month (see April 20 update). In many ways, the results are quite remarkable. But the important truth is that the Lord has new anointing for each believer. We all don’t have to go somewhere or receive special prayer—just recognize that He is anointing you in a new way and receive it.

Two Strategies for Moving in New Anointing

  1. Focus on the truth that you are anointed now—Most of us understand that any truth from God or any gift from Him will be challenged and tested. This challenging and testing is a good thing because it deepens and strengthens our faith. The devil will do anything he can to get us to forget God has anointed us and wants to use us right now, day in and day out. If the devil can get us thinking that “Yes, someday God will use me, but I’m not ready yet,” then we will be ineffective and nullified. We must focus on this truth: “He has anointed me and wants to use me today and every day.”

  1. Prophesy—Give voice/speak it out—In Numbers 11:25 when God put the Holy Spirit on the seventy elders, they immediately began to prophesy. But unfortunately, except for two of them, they never did so again. Later Moses explained that when someone prophesies, it’s really the Lord Himself putting/pouring the Holy Spirit on that person.

We can explain it like this—when we prophesy, the Holy Spirit operates in two dimensions. First, the Holy Spirit rises up in me and enables me to prophesy. I am the one who makes the choice to prophesy, but it is He who rises up and enables the prophetic flow. The second dimension is what Moses described—God puts or pours the Holy Spirit upon us. We all know that when the Holy Spirit is moving upon us—or around us or through us—good things begin to happen. Miracles begin to occur. Vision begins to come. Unexpected blessings begin to pile up.

Actually this is also true not only when we prophesy or move in the gifts of the Spirit, but also whenever we declare or speak God’s truth. The Holy Spirit shows up and causes good things to happen.

So don’t only have the (correct) mindset that God has anointed you, but also be sure to give voice to it. The Holy Spirit will come and confirm to you (and others) what you have been saying. Hebrews 2:1 states, “God also bearing witness both with signs and wonders, with various miracles, and gifts of the Holy Spirit, according to His own will.”

Thanks for praying,

Ron and Teddy
