Look, See, and Then Do—A Strategy for Harvest
This morning during MPP, the Lord began speaking to us about being sure to look or to watch. He wants to show us things, but we won’t see them if we don’t know that we should be looking. Jesus went to the pool at Bethesda and healed a man who had been sick for thirty-eight years. Jesus explained that He only did what He first saw His Father was doing (John 5:19). It’s important to understand how that worked because our Heavenly Father wants to use us in the same way.
I feel the story goes like this: Jesus felt impressed to go to the pool. He walked through the large crowd of sick people waiting for healing. He came across this one man and began to talk with him. As He engaged with the sick man, perhaps then is when Jesus received the word of knowledge and “saw” the healing.
This is one of the ways the Lord wants to use us. We often meet many people in a day. We’ll find ourselves talking or engaging with some of them. As we do, we must be sure to be watching or looking. I find that often I first “see” myself praying for healing or ministering to someone. I meet them, and while talking to them I get this impression in my spirit of me ministering to them.
Actually what I am seeing is shown by the Holy Spirit. He is helping me see that yes, God the Father wants to minister to this person through me. It’s a type of a word of knowledge. Of course I must go past just seeing—I need to go ahead and actually do what I saw myself doing in the spirit. It may be praying for healing, or it might be just talking further or encouraging them. But I must do what I first saw myself doing in the spirit. In this way, I am actually working with the Father. He is healing/ministering through me.
This is all in line with knowing the times and seasons we’re in. God has anointed His ekklesia with new anointing. We have crossed over into the beginning of end-time harvest. We should expect the Holy Spirit to give us definite strategies for taking in that harvest. Being sure to watch, look, and then do is one of those strategies.
Thanks for praying,
Ron and Teddy
