“For if the trumpet makes an uncertain sound, who will prepare for battle?” (1 Cor. 14:8).
Harvest Time Is Here!
In a recent Catch the Fire webcast, two items jumped out at me. One was from a leader in England who said she kept hearing her alarm go off. She kept checking her alarm clock, but finally realized she was hearing it spiritually. Another shared how she heard a trumpet being blown and finally realized it was in the spiritual realm.
Something leaped in my spirit when I heard that. I know these are signs from the Lord and that He is waking up His people for harvest. It will be a harvest of souls. It will also be a harvest of the many promises of God coming to fruition.
Why does He give such signs? Because He wants us to be prepared and expectant. He wants us to be ready so we can receive the blessing or breakthrough that He has prepared for us. Note the following:
Moses noticed a burning bush that wasn’t being consumed—it just kept burning. It was only when he went to take a closer look that God spoke to him. This launched him into his life’s purpose (Exod. 3:2–22). Perhaps God wants to launch you into something new?
Paul was annoyed by the slave girl’s constant crying out after them. It became a “sign” or “leading” to do deliverance. He did so (Acts 16:18), and the history of the whole city was changed. So don’t be irritated with annoyances. They can actually turn out to be “signs.”
In a dream, Jacob saw angels ascending and descending and heard the Lord speak to him. It was the beginning of Jacob turning his heart to the Lord to walk in His ways and to fulfill his calling (Gen. 28:10–22). Ask that friends and family members will get dreams or see signs that will result in their fully turning to the Lord.
We should also know that “signs and wonders” are normal and to be expected when any of God’s people operate in faith. Thus seeing/hearing a sign should help alert us to believe for ourselves. “And Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and signs among the people” (Acts 6:8). In the days ahead, I think we will all experience a great increase in faith and expectation.
Signs and wonders not only increase our faith, but also result in our speaking boldly and confidently. “Therefore they stayed there a long time, speaking boldly in the Lord, who was bearing witness to the word of His grace, granting signs and wonders to be done by their hands” (Acts 14:3).
Let your faith and expectation soar. Share the Lord boldly. Make bold declarations over the promises God has given you. Let’s be increasingly alert. Much more is coming. Much more.
Thanks for praying,
Ron and Teddy
Its October—Let’s Keep on Praising
Join Pete for “30 Minutes of Worship, 10:00–10:30 p.m., Sundays–Thursdays
For the past few months, almost every time I open my Bible, I kept seeing references to praise, and letting our voices be heard in praise and worship. Thus I am so glad that Pete has decided to go online and let his voice of praise be heard. He began during the seventh month, Tishrei, but will keep going.
You can continue to connect with Pete Sawka for thirty minutes of praise five times a week, Sundays–Thursdays, 10:00–10:30 p.m.
Anointing for Harvest
Cheshvan (Oct. 7–Nov. 4, 2021)
Hebrew Year 5782 (Eighth Month on the Ecclesiastical Calendar/Second Month on the Civic Calendar)
A main theme of this eighth month is to gain the anointing God wants us to have. Anointing breaks the yoke and keeps Satan from being able to work his schemes and gain the upper hand. Anointing is also necessary to gather in the harvest. Lately it’s as if the Lord has been trumpeting for all of His people: “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor” (Luke 4:18).
See the Blessings of Cheshvan Here!
